And, of course, you can always try out to be a zombie! This is an open audition and a cold read. Professional actors: please bring a headshot and resume. First-timers: bring your enthusiasm. There are plenty of roles to go around so don't hesitate to audition if you are a beginning actor - this is a great film to get experience on. For everybody who was an outrageous superfan of Mark, Tom, Miller and Raven you're going to be a bit dissapointed with the sequel's plot, but for everybody else, get excited. ZA2 is going to be an all-new adventure with a whole new cast of characters set in the same universe as the original. There'll be more action set pieces, more post-apocalyptic survival scenarios, more blood, more zombies, and a much larger budget - 10 times that of the original! This is the movie I wanted to make years ago but now finally have the skills and support to pull it off. In short - you're gonna dig it. Its looking like we're going to shoot the movie in August/September of 2010 - right around the corner! So far we already have some great support from investors, however I'm still looking for more. If you're interested in being a part of Zombie Apocalypse II, please email me and ask for an investors package. Inside, you'll find all the information you need to make an informed decision on investing in the Zombie Apocalypse franchise. 3.5.2010
Look for the movie for sale at Amazon, Blockbuster, Barnes and Noble, Target, Family Video, CD Universe, Movies Unlimited, and dozens of other retailers across the country! And that's not all - Zombie Apocalypse hits the UK and on-demand, pay-per-view, and cable networks this May! Now, this big release does mean that I'm no longer going to be selling the Zombie Apocalypse DVD here on www.zombieapocalypsemovie.com. At least not for a while. I know this is a bummer for those of you looking to get signed copies, but visit me at Motor City Comic Con this year (or at several as-of-yet unconfirmed appearances) and I'll be happy to scribble all over your DVD. I'm also going to be retooling the website to reflect the new look of the current release, so all of you who took the chance on the original releases might just have yourselves a collector's item after all! Couldn't have done it without you guys - thanks so much for loving this stuff! 10.2.2009 Finally, the first completed segment of my upcoming Anthology of Terror, He Won't Stay Dead is finished and available for the first time here on ZombieApocalypseMovie.com! Crank the volume, click the play button below, and get a preview of your nightmare tonight!
Click here for large HD version! If you enjoyed He Won't Stay Dead and would like to see more short horror flicks like it, pick up a copy of Zombie Apocalypse! If you dug bandaged monsters fighting with axes, wait until you see ZA's machete fight. All proceeds go towards funding Anthology of Terror shorts. 7.6.2009
And hey! Our friends over at Zombie Command have reviewed Zombie Apocalypse! Check out what they have to say about our flick! So I know the announcement of Zombie Apocalypse II has everybody all excited, but that's not going to materialize for another year. What to do in the meantime?! Well, fear not horror fans - I've got a new project in the works. In collaboration with Matt O'Day (screenwriter for ZAII), I've come up with a short film that's going to, quite simply, freak you out. Loaded with gags and gore galore, this is going to be one unforgettable piece. We're going to be shooting our next tale of terror July 24 - 26 with my shiny-new cinema-quality HD rig and have it ready to watch right here by mid-August. If you're a Michigan local and would like to be a part of this production, I'm casting for 4 roles and have numerous crew opportunities available. I run a server for the ever popular 2008 mod of the year "Zombie Panic! Source." I've also formed a clan called "Clan Rat" in homage to this particular game and server. And I would like to invite all you zombie fans to come join me and my fellow survivalists in our never ending quest to escape the zombie hordes! This game (completely free*) portrays an abundance of quality classic zombie scenarios and puts you right in the middle of the action! This multiplayer co-op, first person shooter is built on the Half Life 2 Source engine, and lets you choose if you want to be a zombie or a survivor. Like I said, totally free because its an independent mod, and totally worth checking out for that reason alone. Plus... Just to add to the barage of awesomeness, I am here to announce plans for an official Zombie Panic custom map, based on the plot of everybody's favorite low budget indie flick, Zombie Apocalypse! The great part about indie gaming is indie mapping. Valve software provides all the tools needed to create your own original content. So I and a couple fellow clan members are teaming up to bring you the best of both worlds. We're still in pre-production/design stages, and I'll have blueprints up for preview soon. The end product may be as much as three months away. But in the meantime, stop on by my server!
And best of all, you can come check out my clan at www.ratzps.com. If you're awesome enough, we might even let you join the clan! And if you're a ZA veteran, trust me, you're awesome enough.

This full color book drawn by artist Brian Sheehy and written by Matt O'Day (horror writer and screenwirter for Zombie Apocalypse II) and myself, reveals the origin of the outbreak, who is responsible, and exactly how high the stakes are. Creating the comic book was an incredibly limitless experience made possible by Brian Sheehy's talent of creating images I can only dream of shooting on my bootleg budgets. Drawing the comic book's rough thumbnail panels is just like storyboarding, except I don't have to worry about how I'm going to shoot it - just on if Brian can draw it! And coloring the book felt a lot like placing lights in a scene - except I didn't have to worry about how I was going to cram all of that fancy gear into my minivan! I've learned a lot about visual storytelling through the creation of this book and am working with Sheehy and O'Day to expand the Zombie Apocalypse universe into a full-blown comic series. Look for Zombie Apocalypse Issue #1, the book that starts right after the Zombie Apocalypse movie, this July! See if our heroes can survive the corrupted post-apocalyptic Hell of a nation turned zombie in this horrifying 12-issue tale of desperation and decomposing corpses.
